Paragliding Instruction:

I'd be happy to talk to you about learning to paraglide, and you can contact me at any time.  I find paragliding the most exciting and enjoyable form of aviation that I have experienced! I have attached an information sheet,
but the short story is this.  Paragliders fly under FAA regulations Part 103. Paragliding activities in the US are managed by the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (USHPA.org). You need to obtain a P2 (Novice) paraglider rating to fly without an instructor, and you should fly with more experienced mentors, especially until you achieve P3 (Intermediate) status.

I recommend that you take a 2–3-week vacation (or two to three one-week vacations) in the western US to obtain your P2 rating. In the West, they have more consistent weather conducive to paragliding.  In paragliding, you are building muscle memory, so it is good to be able to give it your focused attention for a two-three week span to build this. The information sheet will give you a start for an information search on the internet.  (I received my training at Point of the Mountain near Salt Lake City in Utah.  At Point of the Mountain, there are several schools to choose from.)

Once you obtain the P2 rating, you can fly with our club, and we can help you to safely grow in your paragliding skills.  Even before you take lessons, you are most welcome to join us when we fly to see what paragliding is all about and if it is something that you want to pursue.

You are welcome to join our WhatsApp groups.  We coordinate our activities through the Flying Coordination Group (when and where we are planning to fly) and the Everything Else Group (which is a place to share information or ask questions).  If you want to join the WhatsApp groups, just send me the phone number associated with your WhatsApp account.  WhatsApp is a free download and you can turn off notifications if you don't want to be disturbed. Being on the groups can facilitate your joining us when we fly.

Please see the Learning to Paraglide Information Sheet. I hope this is helpful.  Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Best wishes,
